2007 Miss Teen Butte County
A word from Melissa:
My name is Melissa Marie Carr and I am the current Miss Teen Butte County. I am very blessed to be a part of such an inspirational organization. This program not only allowed me to better my public speaking and interview skills, but it also provided me with an avenue
to understand my true potential as a citizen. With my title, I have been
able to serve Butte County in various ways. Some of my favorite service events that I participated in this year were serving dinner at the Work Training Center in Chico, painting elderly ladies nails at the Assisted Living Center in Gridley, collecting bears for the Tracy Bear
fundraiser in Gridley, assisting at the Hooked on Fishing event in Oroville and Speaking at the Memorial day service in Gridley. The time that I spent serving Butte County has inspired me to continue to help others in our community even after my term as Miss Teen Butte
County is up. The memories and friendships that I have made is what
makes this year one that I will definitely never forget.
